Ususually once you know that you're getting an award - it isn't really too long before the backdated payment hits your bank account. Then the award letter usually arrives after that, followed by your 4 weekly payments. I find, you're better off waiting till you've got all this information, and then it helps to clear the confusion for you. I know there's an excitement when receiving the backdated payment, but as far as I am aware - they aren't allowed to tell you this over the phone (amount) - just that you will be in receipt of it. It won't be too long before everything seems so much clearer for you
