PIP extension and Carers allowance was created by louisagolding
Hello, I received a letter on Saturday which was telling me my PIP award has been extended for 12 months as my award was due to finish on 21st Feb 2024 but my review hasn't been done.
Today my daughter received a letter telling her carers allowance would finish on 21st Feb 2024 as my award finishes then. Now she's in a panic as we didn't even think about the carers allowance finishing, and it's her only income. Will the carers allowance unit be informed of my extension and then extend her carers allowance? Or does my daughter need to call them and tell them that my award has been extended?

they should be notified by the PIP department but your daughter should still ring to confirm this.
