I sent in my review form 12 months ago and only today got a text calling me in for a face to face assessment!

Sheila I logged on to ask about the delay in hearing back from PIP since review form was submitted in July 2023. You waited a year for assessment so I guess I am still in the expected waiting time.
It is good they continue with the payments without any fight, however if they downgrade the level of payments, is it classed as an overpayment? Surely not. It would mean repaying back 12 months...

Thank you for telling us. I have logged in to find out timescales for pip reviews because the form was submitted in July so I now know I have a few more months to wait.
Good luck. If you do not mind me asking, do you know why it is face to face and not a phone assessment?

Hi Kaitlin
If it takes 2 years before a decision is made the backdate does not go back 2 years unless the claimant had applied for a change in circumstances. If it was a review, then changes take effect from when a decision has been made.
