Applying For PIP was created by Mikey
I am currently receiving ESA (Support Group) and Housing Benefit. I have recently been advised to apply for PIP. However, I'm slightly concerned with regard to recent government statements relating to this benefit.

If I apply for PIP and I am turned down will I lose my entitlement to ESA?

Also, regarding the latest news concerning the migration of ESA/HB claiments to UC by September: If I apply for PIP can I be moved onto UC if my PIP application is still going through the process?

Hi Mikey

Applying for PIP has nothing to do with UC or ESA, they are both seperate benefits.

Applying for PIP does not affect the UC migration process.

At present we do not know what will happen to PIP and Government statements, all we can say is there is an election coming up, so watch this space.
