We do deal with UC on the forum, but your questions are beyond what we can reasonably answer, you need to get face to face advice. See

There are online calculators that will show your wtc entitlement if self employed.
www.turn2us.org.uk/get-support/informati...f-i-am-self-employed
If this works out more than your future UC estimate then you will get transitional protection for 12 months.
If it is less then you will be claiming UC anyway as with migration you don't have a choice to stay on the old benefits.
If your personal circumstances are more complex you could phone Citizens Advice Help to Claim for advice.
