Hi can someone please give me some advice. If I already claim pip and have put in for carers allowance for my partner. Why have the DWP now said that I’m being investigated? I thought people could claim pip and carers allowance? I know other people have? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi SueB

To claim Carers Allowance you have to be caring at least 35 hrs per week.

It would depend as to what care you give, when you also claim PIP yourself. I know a number of claimants who claim PIP and CA.
