Telephone assessment completed. was created by SherryCatMum
Hi everyone,
Just had my telephone assessment.
Very methodical.
1 hour 50 minutes long.😮
Why so long, we went through everything thoroughly.
Recorded officially.
Assessor was a nurse.
Now we wait.
After 48 hours I will contact DWP for the PA4 report?
I am in trepidation and am not hopeful, hut I told the truth and didnt rush, made all the points clear and concise and explained how it affected my DAILY life.
Got the usual can you travel on a bus or get to a hospital on your own trip up, but I explained my condition and how it affects me and what I would need to do.
Ill update in 6 to 8 weeks to see if I am awarded anything.
Thanks for all the guides and how to word things correctly.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi SherryCatMum
I'm glad you survived your assessment. You can ring the DWP for your report (PA4) on Tuesday. Don't be alarmed if they say you have to wait until the decision - you don't- but some call handlers still give out the wrong information. Challenge once, but if that does happen, hang up and try again.

For instance,
How long would it take to walk from your friends car to the GP door, like door to door?
How do you wash your hair?
If you couldn't find something you need in a shop would you ask the assistant?
How do you get about indoors?
How long does it take to get to the local shop compared to your neighbours?
(If you are a carer) How do you care for your family? ( This was a test one im sure)
There were alot of Why? ' at the end of everything but to be fair she did ore warn me on that.
She even asked if I had more family or freinds that prompt me, cousins (I think she was helping out here possibly) etc, which I don't.
But to be honest, I didn't trust any of it but like I said, my severe social anxiety aside, I am ok on the phone as I am in my own home in my room, in control and not having to face anyone.

Ok so I rang up for the PA4 form and the lady was really nice and said no problem, only to discover the assessor hasnt uploaded it yet.
She said to try again tomorrow or Thursday as it sometimes takes a few days to upload.
Assessment ended almost 5pm friday night.
Any thoughts, anyone had the same?
Ill give them a call tomorrow afternoon again and see.

Hi SherryCatMum
We usually advise claimants to wait 48hrs before contacting not including weekends.
I would have said contact them the following Wednesday onwards.
