Carers Allowance was created by ms-indestructable
Hello, I have been claiming Carers Allowance for my son for the past 10yrs. He is in receipt of PIP Enhanced Care and Standard Mobility. Due to High Functioning Autism with complex Communication Difficulties.
I was advised to stop claiming Carers for my son due to him being ablento manage his own financial affairs.
I am his Official Appointee registered with the DWP for his Universal Credit and PIP claims.
My question is, have I being misinformed about cancelling the Carers Allowance for my son. Is Carers Allowance automatically awarded to an Official Appointee and should I start a new claim for Carers Allowance? Thanks in advance.
