UC was advertised by the DWP to be " Digital by Default". So was designed to do away with long forms and signing the back of them. It was also designed for use on a smart phone.
With the UC claimant commitment there is no signature taken you just click on the green " accept " button on your UC account and you can do this at home on your phone, tablet or laptop.
