Esa review was created by Andi66
Hi just joined, I'm worrying about it. I sent my Esa 50 review form back in January. Haven't heard back yet. I'm on Lcfw but as I got worse I wondering if I be moved to support.
With UC migration this autumn I'm worried about being put in the wrong category and also that I get extra because I get pip that I won't get it if I haven't had my assessment done by Esa . Hope this makes sense

Hi Andi66,

I understand that the uncertainty at present is a cause for concern. I would not worry though as the DWP cannot reduce your award whilst you are awaiting news of the review.
As far as DWP mistakes are concerned I would not worry at present. The majority of Benefits claims are administered without mistakes. It is the occasional times when mistakes are made that they make the newspaper headlines.
We can give you advice on claiming Universal Credit when you get your Migration notice.

Hope this helps,
David

Thank you, is there a delay with them and do you have to have a interview, I sent loads of medical evidence.
On the note of UC migration do I have send a fit note if I have Esa review with evidence I have sent. In. Because fit notes only do a certain time. I used to do part time but gave it up last year due to health getting worse.

Hi Andi66,

Yes there are delays at the moment and anecdotally they appear to be getting longer.
Most people have an interview of some sort ( phone, video or face to face ). Though a small percentage are dealt with " paper based " , so just with the evidence presented to the DWP.
You don't need a Fit Note at present.
Hope this answers your questions.
