Hi all. I should be grateful for some advice about adult DLA. I am the appointee for my son, so all the paperwork and payment come to me. His address is changing, and he is going to try to live in his own home, with full time support. Do I have to notify the DWP that his address is changing, although mine isn’t? On the government website it says that as an appointee I need to notify the DWP “about any changes which affect how much the claimant gets.” A change of circumstances will trigger a PIP assessment, which I would prefer to avoid until absolutely necessary. (I realise that I’m clutching at straws.) Thank you.
