I'm sorry that you find yourself in this position. Only 28% of Mandatory Reconsiderations are successful - so as dispiriting as it is - you are not alone in not overturning the position. The DWP should give you a call and explain their decision (though they often don't). If you want to you could contact the DWP and ask for a call back from a case manager.
If you're going to put in an Appeal you have one month from the date on the decision letter. All the information about the process is in the Guide to PIP Appeals
