ESA to State Pension and Pension Credit was created by cbrad
I will next July reach state pension age, I have read that claims for state pension and pension credit are taking up to 6 months to process so I want to send my applications to the pension service in the new year.
I have found a pension credit form to fill in but I cannot find a state pension application form to fill in, do you have a link for a state pension form? or is it all to be online now.
Regarding migration to UC what is the date next year I would need to get to so that I can ignore any migration notice as I will be getting the state pension is it April or March? I also think that the DWP should leave people on ESA who reach state pension age next year.
When I apply for pension credit can I claim for ground rent and service charges which include communal grass cutting, lighting, footpath upkeep and gutter and down pipe yearly cleaning.
Thank you for any advice you can give.

Hi cbrad,
You are looking too far ahead for everyone, myself , the Pension Service and UC.
You can only claim the State Pension 4 months in advance. As for Migration to UC next year all I know is that from January they are increasing the churn rate.
Maybe your landlord has knowledge of how tenants get reimbursed for ground rent and service charges when they become pensioners.

also i forgot to mention, you will receive a letter from the pension credit ,in it will include a code which is exclusive to you. it will explain how you apply. it can be done online. but if you dont want it monthly you have to phone them.
