Online PIP application - problem with service

Hello everyone. First time posting, but have been getting so much great information from being here.

We requested the PIP application form a few weeks ago (for my partner, who has MS), and as the online version was offered, we opted for that.

Since then I've been gradually filling it in, up to almost three-quarters complete.

Earlier this week I attempted access the form as usual and got the message on the Gov website: 'there is a problem with the service'.

Just tried again this morning and same, no access.

If it persists over the weekend we'll phone them on Monday to see what's going on; in the meantime, has anyone had problems accessing their application while in progress, and did it resolve?

I'm beginning to wonder if all that hard work might have to be done again on the paper version instead...

Many thanks
Liz

Hi LittleVoice

I hope you have been able to resolve the problem now. I don't know whether any other members have had similar problems.

This is an extract from Rightsnet (The Health Transformation Programme section) which I saw today.
"3 December 2024 from DWP -

‘Following on from the email sent out on Friday November 29th, the technical issues we reported that were impacting on the service providing online applications for PIP have now been resolved.

‘Therefore, I am happy to confirm that online applications for PIP are again live. This applies to those completing their PIP2 digitally, as well as those who are able to apply using the full online service.

‘Due to this interruption in the service, a 2-week extension has been provided for the completion of their PIP2.’"
