PIP Review - additional information sheet

Hi all,

I am about to submit my PIP Review form and at the end there is space for me to add anything else that isn't covered on the form. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on the sort of things to include here? For example, i've touched on it on the form but due to space not loads of detail, as a result of my condition and medication I've had a couple of cardiac events that I was admitted to hospital for. Nothing obvious as the cause, but this has impacted me both physically (I used to be v active, gym 4-5 times a week etc) and mentally - very anxious to leave home now, had counselling. Is this sort of thing worth including?

Any advice welcome.

Thanks
Dan

Hi Dan

You mention that due to a lack of space, you haven't provided many details. Don't let the lack of space stop you from saying what you want to say - you can add any number of additional pages you want and include them with your form. If you do add any extra pages, make sure that you put your name and national insurance at the top of each page and make it clear which question this additional information refers to.

I would certainly include any information, such as your cardiac events, that have had such a profound effect on your physical and mental health in the space where they ask you to add anything else or include it on a separate piece of paper.

You could use that extra space to include things like any side effects from medication, how they affect you if that is the case. Listing the medication is usually near the beginning of the form but if you get side effects from it that can sometimes be overlooked in that part of the form.
Also, if you need pain relief but cannot get it adequately because of other medical conditions leading to poor pain control, and how that may affect you carrying out tasks.
Use that blank page to paint a picture of your life and elaborate in more detail perhaps about things you feel are relevant.
