Are people over 70 still being transferred from dla to pip? If so what is the timetable?

Hi queenmalka
DLA claimants born after 8th April 1948 will still be asked to apply for PIP, at this moment in time it has been suspended until I believe 2028. It should be announced in B&W newsletter when it is due to re-start.

Hi Gary,
Thank you for your response. So 2028 when the person i care for will be 76!!! Why can't they just let people of that age stay on DLA if they wish???

Hi queenmalka
I understand your frustration, but unfortunately, that's the current system.

Hi, in the light of the proposed changes to PIP, what impact might this have on people still on DLA awaiting transfer?

Hi queenmalka,
The proposed PIP changes aren't set to come into effect until 2026 - so hopefully your migration should be complete by then.
