Hello I was wondering what could happen during an interview during migration from ESA support group to UC.
Are the so-called work coaches allowed to go on fishing expeditions and start asking questions about my various mental and physical disabilities, even though presumably they will have all of this information on their computers. Fore example, Can they ask me questions that i have previously answered such as "can you do this or that?" and "how does this affect you?"
Are they allowed and do they have the authority to ask me what I spend my money on, for example, if I give them my bank statements, are they allowed to question me about certain payments to certain shops or people? Legally are they allowed to invade my privacy and can I refuse to answer?
these are just some questions that have worried me. thanks
The basic qualification to be a Jobcentre Work Coach is a GCSE in Maths and English. There are a lot of instances reported by members of this forum of insensitive questions being asked by Work Coaches. I can advise that you do not have to answer any such questions and they are not allowed to make threats. If that were to occur I can point you in the direction of a DWP manager's complaint.
