David may I also add my husband still has capacity but finds speaking to DWP difficult.
I understand that I can still register the LPA regardless as I have his permission when it was set up. I really do not want to send a copy of the LPA to DWP, as I can provide access codes for them to view the document on line, but have yet to speak to anyone that understands this process.
Many thanks,

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi JMC
The person whom you should make your complaint to is Junior King and his email is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. I have had previous successful contacts with Junior.
Give full details of the mistakes the DWP staff have made such as forcing your disabled husband to speak on the phone and agree a claimant commitment even when you have a LPA. Also refusing to allow you to take your LPA to the Jobcentre. Also making you become an appointee when you already have a LPA. I'm sure there are other errors too.
Let me know how you get on.
David

Many thanks, David. I will follow up with Junior King on this. I just want to ensure this does not jeopardise any decision made, or the process of my husband's claim.
Today my husband actually received a copy of the Claim commitment in the post. (I had asked for this)
The second page states "ACCEPT YOU COMMITMENTS (ALL CLAIMENTS) "
These are listed as ......
To tell jobcentre immediately of any change of circumstance
Give jobcentre plus information I believe is correct
Send fit notes or any other medical evidence.......
Followed by an X indicating that my husband has agreed.
However, the next section detailing "MEETINGS WITH MY WORK COACH"" is shown as THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO ME (with a box ticked with an X)
The focus of this document seems to be to ensure that that information my husband has provided is correct and if my husband is paid too much he will pay it back, he may have to pay a financial penalty or may be prosecuted. (This is shown under the change in my circumstances on the final page).
Is that a regular Claimant Commitment?
Very best, JMC

Hi JMC
Yes, what you describe very well is the basic Claimant Commitment which is for people in the No Work Requirements Conditionality group. So that would include people previously with ESA Support group status now known as LCWRA.

Thanks, David. I assume it is helpful that the job coach has decided to place him in this group, I hope so. But understand we will need to complete a health questionnaire as they mentioned on the initial call this would be sent on.
Thank you for the contact name, I am going to ask Junior if we can visit the local jobcentre and register the LPA.
Your advice is much appreciated.
