Pip cancelled was created by Richard
Hi just a quick question I've had two assessments cancelled due to no professional available on the day, surely the forms are read before an assessment by a professional.
It's making me ill even more as I keep getting prepared for the day then on the day it's cancelled can they keep doing this it's mentally draining
Thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Richard
I'm sorry that you've had two assessments cancelled. Unfortunately, you are not alone in this happening. It's been reported there is a shortage of assessors in some areas, and no doubt they have staff illness and staff emergencies, which could also affect their ability to carry out assessments. It isn't very good to have an assessment cancelled, particularly when it happens at the last minute. I'm not surprised you feel mentally drained by your experience. You can try making a complaint, but it probably won't make any difference.
Regarding your form being read by a professional before the assessment, it may not have been looked at by a medical professional beforehand.
