Hi all. I received my managed migration notice in November and I need to complete it soon. The only thing that is being migrated is my housing benefit as it’s the only means tested benefit I get. I’m on contribution based ESA, SDP etc. support group, Pip and one other benefit.
I’ve used CAB to work out what I should be receiving with added transitional protection. They are very good and I highly recommend. The way some things are worked out is very confusing and complicated.
My concern is that under the heading of “status” there are only four boxes to tick and I don’t fit into any of them. Retired, student, employed or unemployed - there is no “other.” I have to tick unemployed to submit that section. Does everyone get assigned a work coach, as I’m not looking for work and not able to? The other thing is right at the end of the application, they ask you to agree to their terms and to the commitments. What commitments? I am wary of agreeing to things that I don’t understand. There doesn’t seem to be anywhere where you can add further information. Thanks in advance.
No as you are in the Support/LCWRA group then you will not have a Work Coach. Also as you are in the Support Group your commitments are just to agree to inform the DWP of a change of circumstances. Members of this forum have reported doing this over the phone in a call that only lasts 10 minutes. Have you checked the To Do's in your UC account.
