PIP Mandatory reconsideration acknowledgement letter was created by Coldallthetime
Hi, I've just received a letter from the DWP to say they have received my letter asking for mandatory reconsideration. The letter states they received my request on 28th January. The original decision letter was dated 18th December. I actually sent the mandatory reconsideration 2 weeks before that, special delivery, so know it was also received the next day & before the month deadline.
Should I contact the DWP to clarify this, or is the date on the letter just when they processed it onto the system & it doesn't matter what date the letter says?

I'm surprised to hear that you received a letter, as they don't often clarify that someone has requested an MR.
I can't tell you what to do here. It's really up to you whether you want to challenge the date. If you win, your award should be backdated to the date of the original decision letter, in which case that date won't matter.

I’ve asked for a MR and I’ve had a letter acknowledging it and two texts too. 😩
