I have finally got my PIP award for 10 years. Same as before highest rate care and lowest rate mobility. I was disappointed with the lowest rate mobility because I can have falls and I can't get up by myself if I have a fall. I been stuck on the ground for an hour before somebody came along and helped me up. I said my walking is unreliable but none of that has been taken into account. Even though on good days I walk 20 to 50 meters bad days I can't. But then there is falls risk and falls do happen.

Congratulations on your award. I'm sorry that you were disappointed with the mobility award. Obviously it's up to you whether you accept or you decide to put in for an MR. It could be that although you fall, they have decided that doesn't happen for the 'majority of the time'. I would be arguing if you didn't that the 'risk' is there the majority of the time and therefore you can't undertake this safely

Hi Bis, what be the risks of a mandatory consideration. I could say the risk is there most of the time. I once feel in a road. With Parkinsons the balance isn't as good as other people, we can easily go over from somebody banging in us.

Hi Onyx,
It's always worth doing one in my eyes, it's more likely to go in your favour than against you where they would remove the initial award. It allows you to get your point across, and be listened by someone with more experience and knowledge of dealing with similar cases.
