Severe disablement allowance? was created by Johninpain
I got my migration notice from esa to uc and they sent me a standard message saying some benefits will effect uc rates and it says our records state you are not on any of them but the list includes esa which I was definitely on but had to migrate to uc and it lists Severe disablement allowance now I get severe disability premium on esa
Is that (Severe disablement allowance? )
Or are they 2 different things please

Hi Johninpain

Yes they are different.Severe disablement allowance was phased out from 2008. I expect you received ESA with the SDP ( severe disability premium ).
