I've just done my managed migration from esa (support group) to uc. I had my telephone appointment to verify identity and during this I confirmed with them that I am studying 1 day a week part time at college. I then was asked to prvodie evidence of this in my journal. I provided this evidence and now they are asking me to come and attend in perosn to provide the same documents I've already uploaded, as part of a "further evidence appointment". Ive questioned why this is necessary as I've already provided what they've asked for, but I'm not sure where I stand on having to attend in person? Can I not do this over the phone like I did the id checks? I'm just scared they are trying to find a reason to challenge my benefit entitlement.
If you don't feel well enough to commute to the Jobcentre you can request a DWP home visit. You could send a Journal message reminding the Work Coach that the head of the DWP Neil Couling said that any member of the ESA Support Group could request a home visit to administer their UC Managed Migration.
