Hi Alison,
The assessors write up a report (often full of inaccuracies sadly) based on my own and many others experiences, and then the DM will send you a letter informing you of the points that you've scored, whether that be enough for any sort of award, or not. Depending on the outcome, whether you're happy, or whether you wish to take it to a tribunal to contest.
Chris.

Hi Alison, please if you haven't already, phone to ask for your "PA4."
This is the assessor's report which the DWP staff member called the Decision maker is supposed to base the decision on.
No matter what you may be told you ARE legally entitled to have a copy. It should be available 48 hours after the phone assessment. Call the number on your last letter from DWP about PIP. If fobbed off, politely end the call and just try again. Except where it has been taken for internal quality auditing it should be available and come in a week-ish by post. If you are told it has not reached DWP, there may be a chance to argue because the assessor did not write it up promptly that they may have 'unfortunately failed to remember ' accurately what you said, and that the report is therefore "not fit for purpose".
More likely, you will read it and notice many inaccuracies and possible outright factual inaccuracies.
If this is so, you can write ASAP to 'The Decision Maker' explaining the mistakes, omissions etc.
1]never ever use the word 'lie'
2] refer to the evidence you used where the assessor has not done but should have, or has twisted the meaning of it.
3] If necessary add other evidence [eg assessor described Tramadol as 'for mild pain', you quote the NHS website stating Tramadol is for severe pain.
Hope this helps, do get that call in! If you may be pushed into a mental health issue by reading rubbish written about you, have a friend handy when you open the envelope.
Best,
Denby

Hi Alison
You should ask for a copy of the assessors report (PA4) 48 hours after your assessment, if you receive a text message informing you the DWP have received the report then contact DWP.
DWP do not always send out text messages.
In regards to your question, I would phone them and chase for a copy of the assessors report (PA4)
