Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi dean,
It's usually 15 points I believe for the higher award - so it seems like the lower and higher is likely to remain what your partner will be awarded. Always best to go through everything though to check for errors and see if it's worth challenging anything.
Chris.

It's 12 points for the enhanced (higher) award, for both Daily Living and Mobility. 8 is the standard award for both components.Hi dean, It's usually 15 points I believe for the higher award - so it seems like the lower and higher is likely to remain what your partner will be awarded. Hi Robbie,
Is it ? Hmmm, I have standard for both and been awarded 14 and 11 points - and it wasn't a typo, as I counted the points.
I'll have to double check all my paperwork now and see what's happened, as I've been receiving mine since 2022, and never thought anything of it.
Chris.

The points scoring system for PIP is:
8-11 points: Standard
12+ points: Enhanced

It's 15 points to pass the Work Capability Assessment (in ESA / UC). I thought you might have been thinking of that but you mention you got 14 points for one of the components in PIP but were awarded just the standard rate. You definitley need to contact the DWP if that is the case as you should be getting the enhanced rate. The award letter you got from the DWP should have a total of points scored below a breakdown of the points you were awarded for each descriptor (it should be on either page 3 or page 4 of the award letter).Hi Robbie, Is it ?
