Hello,

Is it normal if I had my UC migration with UC assessment ( they produced letter working out how much Universal Credit I am to get every month) but they ask nothing from me?:

- no request for an interview at the job centre, nor by phone call nor at my home
I can see on my online account that every aspect of UC was verified, my ID, housing cost etc.

- no request for me to accept claimants commitments ( I agreed to them online while doing my UC migration)

- no request for anything at all.

I migrated from esa support group.

Thank you.

Hi VIA

I heard from a professional last week that some people are being transferred with no contact. Glad to hear that yours has all gone through

Hello BIS,

I do know if I was transferred with no contact due to the fact I have complex needs, but maybe that helped.

Because when I talked to them prior to delay the migration, I asked them to record I had complex needs. I could see they did not want to do it, it did not matter who I talked to.
I really had to insist again and again, speak to a manager and make sure it was noted and I really insisted for all the information on my complex needs to be passed on to the complex needs manager. Then I checked what they had written down was all the factors that covered all my complex needs.

Maybe the fact my complex needs were noted, together with my vulnerability due to my disability among other things helped the fact that they did not request me for anything.

I hope that helps someone even though I cannot guarantee my complex needs helped me transition with no request from them.

All the best.

Hi VIA

Claimants on legacy ESA are going straight on to UC and placed in group 1 claimant commitment when they initially apply, their claim will be reviewed to ascertain which component of ESA they received (WRAG or Support).

Hello Gary,

When they review my claim to ascertain which component of ESA I am getting (WRAG or Support) - I am from the support group, do you think they will request me to have an interview, and/or to accept claimants commitments?

Many thanks Gary.

Hi VIA

You have to sign a claimant commitment to enable your UC claim to go live. If you refuse to sign a claimant commitment then your claim will be struck out.

As you are in the support group you should be placed in the LCWRA and in Group 1. No work related requirements of the claimant commitment.
