Hi
I have to migrate to Universal Credit online and want to know in advance if I will need to provide bank statements, given that I have less than £4,300 money in total.

PLEASE do not derail with questions about "why do you need to know/so what if you do need statements".

All help is appreciated. I have £50 in Premium Bonds as part of that £4,300 by the way, if that is of relevance.

To summarize-will I need to supply bank statements as part of my online application, for managed migration to Universal Credit?

Thanks.

Hi bobberto

Usually the DWP don't ask for bank statements where total saving and investments are under £6000. The DWP are supplied with the information as to which banks you have an account with but not the amounts. This is matched with the information you supply on your application. I cannot say whether your owning premium bonds will trigger a request for proof. May be other members can share their experiences.
