Managed migration from ESA to UC was created by student2007
Hello,
I am in the process of completing my to do list online. And one of the questions ask if I have stopped work in the last 9 months. But, I don't know which option to choose. I have not worked at all in the last 9 months because I've been long term sick for several years now. If, I choose NO i don't want them to think I am still in work. And if I choose YES I don't want them to think I had been working, at some point in the last 9 months, and hadn't declared that to the DWP, given that I'm in the support group for ESA. So, which option do I choose, please?
Kind regards

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi student2007
If you have been working for an employer they share pay details with the DWP through the RTI ( real time information) system. In addition your National Insurance contributions will have been registered. Or maybe your work on a self employed basis as some delivery drivers do whilst technically being employed by a carrier.

Just wanted to update encase anyone else is struggling with this question. The managed migration helpline for Citizens Advice said to choose NO if you've been out of work for a long time/haven't worked in the last 9 months.
