Confused about assessment type. Paper / video. was created by Racoons
I don't understand why after missing calls from the assessors, missed 2 then the 3rd cut out. They first said when I called after that, that they would call me again, and it was bc they needed to ask some extra questions and were doing paper based. But they didn't call again they just text with a appointment for a video assessment 2 days later. I read Video assessments are the rarest one they do so I don't know why they have gone from paper to video? I gave so much medical evidence too.

Hi Racoons
I'm sorry that has happened to you. I don't know why they have decided to do a video assessment, but you can always contact them and ask them to do a paper-based assessment. They have to consider your request. If they refuse, you can ask them to review their decision a second time. If they refuse a second time, you will have to take part in the video assessment. I would argue that you do not understand why they have changed their mind and ask for a reason.

Hi denby
You are correct but we often hear on the forum where this has not happened.

Hum. Yet more shabby behaviour.
Maybe we should campaign for them to print some rules that THEY are supposed to stick to, eg at the front of PIP claim and PIP renewal forms. So people not lucky enough to have come across B&W could be informed of the basics.
I hope Racoons is able to get it sorted to their satisfaction.
