PIP query confusion and clarification about government proposals etc

I was awarded a 10yr pip award in July 2023 through to July 2033 with enhanced living and standard mobility. Just had my new pip rates letter from DWP from April 2025 etc. Also awarded state pension in July 2023, alongside some monthly guaranteed pension credit with severe disability element, I also get a small monthly workplace pension.

Given the governments proposed changes, I am left totally confused what affect it'll all have on my award etc. I'd be very grateful if it was possible for me to get some clarity relating to how this is going to impact me and my circumstances.

Thanks

Hi Dalglish60

Nothing was mentioned about people above the state pension age with respect to PIP entitlement, so as it stands at the moment, I would not expect any change.

The one proposed change is if you have daily living and if you did not score 4 points for at least one area,, they are looking at removing entitlement. It is still a proposal and has not been confirmed, and it still was not clear if this would include all claimants or everyone below SPA. If you have 4 points - on one of the sections, you have nothing to worry about. Keep an eye out for the newsletter for any further information.
