Sorry for reposting this as I think I posted it in the wrong section before
Can I ask if it’s also true that the government is also looking to make disabled people with certain disability’s no longer to be eligible to be on pip As I read on line that
That the government as well as tightening the criteria is also looking to exclude several conditions previously deemed eligible
While the DWP has not yet published the full list, reports indicate that the 87 conditions being reconsidered primarily fall under musculoskeletal disorders. These may include:
Osteoarthritis Rheumatoid arthritis Chronic pain syndrome Fibromyalgia Inflammatory arthritis Spinal disorders (e.g., degenerative disc disease, scoliosis) Hip and knee replacements Neuropathic pain conditions Tendonitis and bursitis
Is this true is the government also looking to exclude disability’s such as the above from being on pip
The latest information that we have is listed about under UC/PIP changes tab in the pink box. Anything else, me personally, I would wait until tomorrows budget for clarification. The proposed changes aren't expected to come in until November 2026.
Chris.
