Claimant commitment, and photo ID. was created by mikey_77
I am in the ESA support group and would like to have a claimant commitment done by phone, or in writing due to anxiety. In parts of the ESA to UC migration guide it mentions it can be done in writing but in other parts mentions telephone calls. If I request to have it done in writing will it delay the claim, and can I complain if my request is ignored?

Also, if I give a driving licence as photo ID might this be used against me to suggest I am driving. I have not had a car on the road in over 15 years and got a photocard licence issued solely to use as ID. I seen at least one example in this forum where someone being assessed for PIP had their driving licence brought up by the assessor to challenge their claim.

I am hoping photos of the documents and driving licence are sufficient as I have no scanner.

Hi mikey_77

Your ID could be verified using Credit Ref Agency data and your driving licence but I cannot say for sure which method will work.
If you don't currently drive then PIP assessors cannot use driving as an argument against meeting the descriptors.
