Pip and Retirement was created by JM
Hi
Can someone advise me of the legalities regarding the following.

At trubunal court hesring I was awarded highest rate on both sectors

My claim was granted until 10/12/2024.

I officialy retired in July 2024

In June 2024 I was advised my pip would be reviewed
I filled in the forms and only today I have been sent a txt message saying my review is with the assessors.

My question is this
Because I retired before my pip expiry date am I automatically awarded for life subject to light touch reviews.?

Would they be able to take away my pip legally?

Hi JM

As you have reached SPA you are subject to a light touch review. Having a light touch review doesn't automatically ensure that someone's PIP will continue. That's the decision of the DWP. Obviously if you tell them that your condition is unchanged or has deteriorated, you would expect it to continue unchanged for another 10 years.
