MP has ignored all of my emails was created by Anniesmum
Hello,
I have had to email my MP over a couple of different issues. He has never responded to one of my emails. He won’t respond to the one about the benefit cuts as he has a record in parliament of supportive cuts to benefits.
Is it worth me emailing my local about councillor about the cuts or is it not worth it as they don’t have much power? Thanks

Hi Anniesmum
I would write to Liz Kendall as she's the minister in charge and tell her that, considering the government is holding a consultation over the changes, the least you would expect is a reply from your local MP.
If you have the time and energy, I think it is worth writing to your local councillor. No, they don't have any power but the changes will undoubtedly impact their work.

Thank you BIS. Would it be better to write to Liz Kendall in a physical email or email her please? Thanks

Hi Anniesmum
I would write to Liz Kendall by recorded delivery, that way you will have proof that it has been received and signed for, hopefully you may receive a reply, if you add your email address to the letter you may get a reply by email..
