PIP Activity 2

Hi! I explained in the assessment/supporting paperwork that my ND daughter needs prompting to take nutrition and should be scored (d) but was scored (a). When she is by herself eg at university, and has been studying, she forges to eat (interoception) and subsequently becomes overwhelmed when she then needs to eat if its late/there's nothing in the flat to eat. Their reply was that
" preparing food of any kind, or the type of food consumed would not be considered under the scope of the activity for taking nutrition for these activities. There is no evidence within the casefile that would suggest severe mental health issues, causing poor motivation to eat, or significant cognitive impairment that would mean that Sasha would not have the intellectual ability to understand when she is hungry. " This seems to completely misunderstand autistic and ADHD presentations, and I do not see where there is a requirement for severe MH issues and/or cognitive impairment, in order to score any points. Any advice gratefully received! Thank you. Sara
