This is the third try at posting a question. I'm not computer literate so it's difficult. My daughter got ESA Support Group. She has severe dyslexia, Autism, ADHD, severe asthma and spinal injury. The ESA to UC Migration has been very distressing but we managed between us to do the online application. Eventually a DWP operative phoned and after some questions said my daughter would not be expected to look for or prepare for work or attend work interviews. Then, during the time it took us to do the online ESA to UC Migration application, she continued to recieved letters from the ESA about yearly updated of her ESA payments. Her Migration to UC payments weresupposed to be explained on 29th march '25 and first payment on 2nd April '25. She received an ESA letter dated 18th march '25 saying if she didn't apply for New Style ESA by agreeing to a Claiment Commitment with a work coach at the local job centre at an appointment she must attend they would not be able to pay her any ESA and may have to close her claim. I am at an absolute loss. Who do l believe? The UC or the ESA? She has already been threatened with closure of her claim because she didn't fill in an 'optional equality questionnaire'. Now the UC have said she has money that she does not and she is recieving money she's not entitled to which she does not. She only gets PIP both enhanced rate and ESA which had now stopped because of UC. They say she will recieve under half of her previous amount on ir ESA. I have no idea how to sort this mess. She won't speak to people. She didn't say a word to the WCA assessor. I don't know what to do.

Hi PGM

Have you investigated being your daughter's Appointee for DWP benefits.
Then you could speak on her behalf.
Everyone has to agree a claimant commitment with the new contributions based ESA. You can do this over the phone.
You will receive contributions based ESA with a top up of UC.
Have you tried using a Benefits calculator such as Entitledto.co.uk ?
