I am hoping someone might be able to provide confirmation of where I stand with the benefit increase and my migration from ESA to UC. I think I messed up.
My original deadline passed but I was very ill at the time and they extended it. Having a better day, I decided to get the application done. I checked guidance etc and it was only after I sent it I became aware of the issues around benefits increasing today, and the impact on your transitional payment.
My situation is UC claim sorted and sent today. ESA payment due in my account tomorrow. Am I now stuck in the old rates? Online research seems to varies and dates all over the place.
I'm telling myself it was better to get it done when I can rather than risk missing it altogether, but I feel a bit sick that I might have messed it up.
Well done for getting it in. Yes, it was better to get it done by your new deadline. I can't confirm about the rates and there is nothing you can do now, but wait and see and then challenge if necessary.
