PIP Review was created by Tigerlily11
Hi everyone,
I am a bit confused. I posted my PIP review form at 9am this morning signed for delivery.
It was signed for at 11.40am today. I just received a text message at 5.10pm saying,
“About your PIP review. The health professional has sent us their report. We will make a decision on your PIP but it may take 6 weeks before you hear from us.”
To be fair their office is not far from me but I still think this is incredibly fast. Can the health professional ask me in for a Face to Face assessment or from the text message do you think they have already made a decision.
Thank you for any advice with this.
Jessica

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Tigerlily11
No, you won't be asked in for a face-to-face assessment. If you haven't had a phone assessment - then they have done a paper-based assessment and you will hear from them.

Hi Bis,
Thank you so much for your reply.
Please delete my duplicate message as I was not sure this one had went through.
Do I call for a report? If I do who do I call and what do I ask for? Would there even be a report done if it was a Paper Based assessment. Sorry if this sounds silly.
Thank you again Bis.

Hi Tigerlily11
Unfortunately, if you have had a paper-based assessment done, there won't be a report. They used to produce reports for paper-based assessments, but it appears they stopped doing so around the time of the pandemic. When people have asked for them, they have been told there isn't one. It used to be a PA5
I know that one of our members submitted a Subject Access Request and requested a copy of any notes made in compiling their decision letter. I never heard if they were successful in receiving any helpful information.
There's nothing to stop you from asking, but I'm just warning you that I don't think you'll receive anything.

Hi Bis,
Thank you very much.
I shall ring and ask them? Should I ring now or maybe leave it until after the Easter holidays?
