Just wanted to let you know I've replied in detail about my experience on the other thread, but the message hasn't posted yet for some reason...

Hi RosiePosie, yes passing the verification online did mean I never had to visit the jobcentre or have a phone call to verify. Once you have verified, the task is completed in your to do list. I did exactly that with checkmyfile making use of the free 1 month trial. Transunion was used as the credit agency for verification when I did it in March. I was asked to accept that hmrc share with transunion data then the questions started.

Thank you @roadrunner!
One thing I am confused about is the potential question 'do you have a phone contract?'. I do not currently have a (landline) phone contract. I have also NEVER had a mobile phone contract (as I buy my mobiles outright.) However, yesterday I ordered a 'sim-only' contract. Would this be considered a mobile phone contract? . . . I'm guessing this is something you likely don't know the answer to - however, I cannot find the answer online. (Thinking now of temporarily cancelling my sim-only contract due to not wanting to confuse the issue!)
Cheers!
