Recording Assessment was created by Mumoftwo
Hi
My son had an appointment for his Pip assessment this morning. We advised them that we were recording the call so she stopped the call to check with her supervisor.
The supervisor called back to reschedule stating that new guidelines meant they had to record the assessment at the same time as us.
Is this correct? I can’t see it written in any of the guides here or I would have phoned before hand to arrange a joint recording.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Mumofftwo
It might be something that the assessment services have implemented. I don't know which 'new guidelines' she is referring to. They may not be out in the public domain.
It's also possible that the assessor didn't want to be recorded. They have a right to refuse, in which case, once you mentioned it, the session would have been rescheduled.

That makes sense, thank you. Next time I will phone before hand but I didn’t think it was necessary as I thought you could just advise on the day.
Bit of a pain having to reschedule but I’ll know next time.
