UC and P60u was created by Brian1888
I have been reading on forum about members who unwittingly didn't know they have been receiving some CB ESA alongside UC.

I potentially could be in same boat as have just double checked most recent P60 and it's definitely a P60u.

I have just migrated to UC (3 weeks ago), still waiting on payment amounts etc via journal.

Again double checked my journal and it says on anything that could affect UC ckaim and says i still receive ESA.
I did receive 2 week run on payment also letter to say IR ESA has ended.

My last employment ended around 2012.

What are the implications (If any) of P60u on UC claim etc ?

Thanks in Advance.

Hi Brian1888

UC is a means tested Benefit whilst New Style ESA is not. This means that NS ESA is deducted £ for £ from UC. But it is worth keeping your NS ESA claim running just in case future unforeseen events were to compromise your UC claim.

Hi David

Thanks for reply and info.

Does a P60u mean that i am actually receiving NS ESA ?

Could it mean that i would get a payment both from UC and another from ESA ?

Thanks

Hi Brian1888

I think that you will get New Style ESA fortnightly and UC monthly.

Let me know how you get on.
