ESA to UC Migration.. Can't edit details on online form was created by LucyPosy68
Hi,
I just wondered if anyone here is experiencing problems editing details on the UC online form.
I've completed the sections, but there are 2 sections I need to edit... It shows you a list of all your answers (Nationality, Savings etc) & you click either yes, you agree the details are correct, or no, you need to change them.
I need to edit 2 - the Savings section & Housing... So, clicking yes to the others that are correct, but no to the others... I'm in a loop of it not doing anything - there is no page to edit the details...
Have tried 2 different devices & 2 browsers, still the same problem.
I rang the UC helpline & explained.. At first she said 'I don't think you can edit'... I said you can... Anyway, after her going off for help, suggested submitting & basically sorting it out after (It can't be submitted, because the ID stage hasn't been completed yet)
She gave me the other UC number & said maybe they could change it for me (not doing that)... Also to try later, incase it's the system playing up..... I could be doing something wrong & not realise it 😔....... Any advice would be very much appreciated... Thanks 🙂

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi LucyPosy68
I'm sorry - I have no advice to offer. Other people have been asking about editing, and they haven't been able to do it either.

Thanks Bis 🙂
Fortunately, I was able to do it, but noticed it was just after 9am... So, whether it was in fact the system (it seems a coincidence it started working a few mins after 9am)... All the money that's been spent on UC over the years, you'd think they'd have a far superior IT system 🙄
Many thanks 😊
Ps... On a personal note, I did also ring the CAB helpline to ask for advice (just before it all started working)... The woman I spoke with was very helpful & also offered to do a benefits calculation etc...
My experience with the CAB was better than the regular UC helpline (who I felt didn't know a lot)

I am having exactly the same problem .
Another problem I had is that the answers weren’t saving. So, I’m not confident about submitting the form, if it’s been having a few very basic technical problems. I’ve phoned CAB who were very nice but didn’t know. I’ve been advised to phone DWP tomorrow. It’s just not good enough especially for people who are going to struggle financially while they somehow try to figure all the issues out including technical difficulties, fortunately I’m not going to.
