PIP renewal was created by Michael
Hello, I sent in my renewal form but it was late (I needed to wait for the nurse helping me to fill in the form). I emailed to say I needed more time and received a letter saying PIP had stopped. I called and was told it would be looked at during the review but they didn’t say how long it would take. Is there an approx time this normally takes? Things are still bad for me at the moment and I don’t really know what to do if anyone might be able to help/advise? Thank you

Hi Michael
I'm so sorry to hear what has happened to you. I'm afraid that I can't tell you how long it will take, but whenever you're able, ring and enquire about the timescale and mention that your money was stopped.
I hope that you hear soon.

Thank you so much, would my initial call advising them of the situation be a mandatory reconsideration or would this be something else I would have to do? I checked and I think I sent the email to the wrong address. Apologies for the questions I don't really like making calls and would rather do what I need to do in one call.
Thank you

Hi Michael
If you asked for an extension after the deadline date then your claim would usually get closed, in which case your only option would be to start a new claim. It is vitally important that you ask for an extension before your dead line date.
In your post you say you were told it will be looked at during the review, as BIS has mentioned in her post contact PIP and ask for a time frame, also mention that your money has stopped, they maybe able to give you more news.
