I got my pip review form in January 2024, so was filled with worry and stress. Well, I've been awarded enhanced for both,but, my points were lower. Last time I received 4 points for one of the daily living elements. This time 3 was the highest. Also just lower points in general and none for some of the things I have most difficulties with. What should I do? Please advise. I only received my letter a few days ago. With an award till April 2028.
We never tell people whether or not they should apply for an MR—it is something everyone has to decide for themselves.
I imagine you are worried about the proposed PIP changes, which could require you to score 4 points for one of the daily living questions in the future. This may influence your decision to see if you can be awarded more highly. I would ring the DWP and ask for a copy of the assessment report (PA4), and this should give you more information about why they have dropped your score and what you need to fight against.
There is always a small risk of challenging a decision, which you may also want to consider as you have an enhanced award, but the risk is small and the majority of people's awards stay unchanged.
