ESA migration - New Health Conditions was created by siriuscat
Hi, advice much appreciated.
I've been on income related ESA LCWRA for 10+ years and am about to migrate to UC. My ongoing health issues for ESA have not changed and are still ongoing.
However, late 2023 I was in a serious traffic collision. I now have new health conditions on top of my original ones. I did not, and have not informed the DWP about my new conditions.
During migration, should I add my new conditions or might this cause 'Change of Circumstances' problems? Should I wait until I have migrated and add them at a later date?

Hi siriuscat

I would not mention your health conditions during UC Migration. All you need to do is inform them that you have Support Group/LCWRA status.

Thank you David.
Forgive me but do you mean not to mention ANY of my health conditions during UC migration?

Yes, there is no need to mention any as you are in the Support/LCWRA group.

Hi,
I've been studying the migration guide and it says:

Tell us the conditions you have – you simply need to list the names of any medical
conditions/health problems/disabilities – one per box

So do I list the names of my medical conditions?
Thanks

Hi siriuscat

You don't have to at all if you are in the Support/LCWRA group.
However you should if you are in the WRAG/LCW group as you will be interviewed in the future by a Work Coach who will want to prepare you for employment.
