backpay of servre disablement premium and UC

Hi im looking for some advice please. i had a phonecall yesterday to say that i have been awarded over 6k in backdated payments of sdp. i transitioned to UC in March this year. i am in the llimited capability for work, will the backpay affect my UC each month and would it be ok if i gave some of the money to my friend to look after so i can buy a car in the near furture? i am on enhanced mobility and enhanced daily living which ends in febuaury 2027. many thanks karen

I have been refused my backpay even though i was entitled to it. Did you do an MR to receive yours. How long did you wait? Thank you so much

i have not recieved a letter yet, but £11,000 was paid into my bank on Friday. i payed all my debts and gave my son £2,500 to keep in a account for a car for myself. i have £5,500 left in my account so im not sure how i write this on my journal or what receipts i have to give? i get so confused with it all.

hi no i didnt have to do a MR it took about 3 months. i didnt even no i was entitled to severe disability premium. I hope this helps
