I'm in the middle of a PIP review and just got the copy of the medical report from the assessment. It looks like I've got 12 points for daily living however it is recommending a short award, 18 months whereas my previous award was for 6 yrs, also they have changed the points in two areas where I got 4 points to 2. Also taken away my standard mobility for planning and following an unfamiliar journey.
I'm considering whether or not to MR/Appeal the length of award, mobility and possibly the two areas which have been changed from 4 to 2. I can see a number of mistakes in the report and reasoning so it should be possible to do. Given the proposed changed to PIP- the '4 point rule' it's concerning they have made this change.
But I remembered something from the past- when appealing they just select 12 points and don't consider others because this is enough for the enhanced award. Would the Appeals therefore consider the change from 2 to 4 points given that I already have enough points for the award?
