Hi all wondering if you can help me. I have recently been asked to move over to UC from ESA. The amount of ESA I was getting has been reduced by about £92 a week but I am still getting some ESA. My wife is getting cares allowance for me. Is it better to fully transfer over to UC or to keep my ESA component. I am receiving the limited capability for work from UC now which I didn't have for my first payment from UC which that have been awarded and back paid now. I'm having many issues with UC at the moment with overpayments and underpayments. My first payment they said they owed me nothing, they payed about 3/4 of my rent and I would have to make the shortfall up, 2 days later they had overplayed me by £170 because there was an overlap of ESA and UC payments. When I then asked for a case manager to have a look at the claim he said there had been an underpayment of £270 because they had not included my limited capability for work component. So now I have had my second statement it's said my UC £123 (after rent has been deducted) they have also said there is a £91 deduction for debt. I contacted the debt agency but they could not understand why they were collecting the debt so back to the initial question is it better for me to transfer fully over to UC or keep the ESA component Thank you in advance rob
