Oh well, just when you thought it was going ok, received info from housing benefit that they will help with the transition to UC, I’m assuming that's the two week run on? However, I’ve since received a note in my journal informing me that I’m not entitled to receive help with housing costs as my landlord(private rented) needs to be registered as a landlord! Which wasn’t a problem before, It also said that the tenancy agreement hadn’t been dated, which is has been! Anyway my question is if I’m down on the money that I receive from UC in comparison to being on legacy benefits, am I entitled to the trasitional element, because there is no doubt that I will be in receipt of less money being on UC! As there will be no housing cost element included.
Any help/advice/feedback would be most welcomed as always.
We do not have the facts of your case, we would advise you to seek help from your local Welfare Rights Organisation; advicelocal.uk they will be able to take all your circumstances into consideration when giving you advice.
